--- WAWdotcom Annihilation Info ---

The first Annihilation took place on July 6, 2002. The first match in Annihilation history was a title match between F-O and Sick that saw Sick defeat F-O for his title. Sick holds the first win in Annihilation history, while F-O holds the first loss.

The defending WAW Champion has never lost their title at Annihilation. Iceman (2002), Sin (2003 and 2005), F-O (2004), Freakin Flax (2006), Skyyler Phoenix (2007), Christian Sain (2009), Captain Vincent Zarrello (2010), Troy Garbo (2011) and Johnny Psycho (2012) have all had successful title defenses of the WAW Championship at Annihilation.

The defending WAW Team Champions have lost their Team Titles at Annihilation one time in 2009 when F-OFF won over Buds and Sudds.

The winning Annihilation Team Captain has only gone on to win the WAW Championship one time. Christian Sain won the WAW Championship at Apocalypse 2007 by defeating Todd Sople just minutes after Todd Sople won the WAW Championship from Skyyler Phoenix. 2002's winning team captain, Sin, was not awarded a title shot because the match was to determine the WAW President between Dirty Dealer and Miss Moody Starr. 2003's winning captain, F-O, chose a pizza party as the reward for his team winning. 2004's winning team captain, Sin, would be arrested prior to his title match with F-O. Gino Diomedes (a member of The War Machines in 2004, but not the team captain) would defeat F-O as Sin's replacement. 2005's winning team captain, Christian Sain, would lose his title match with Sin. 2006's winning team captain, Joey Staplez, would lose his title match with Skyyler Phoenix.

When pooling title shots together, only one tag team has gone on to win the WAW Team Championship. In 2005, Rocko and The Jersey Devil combined their floating title shots to challenge the Big Top Playaz at Doomsday 2005 and walked away as the new champions. In 2006, Rob Marsh and Danja Rus took their title shots to Apocalypse and lost in a Tables Match against Asylum. In 2008, Karnage & Kevin Kaos used their shots to challenge FMJ and failed.

Sin is the only WAW Champion to have defended the WAW Championship at two different Annihilations. Sin defended the title in 2003 against The Jersey Devil and 2005 against Major Morpheus Morency.

Major Morpheus Morency is the only person to have challenged the WAW Championship at two different Annihilations. Major Morpheus Morency challenged F-O in 2004 and challenged Sin in 2005.

Having been in a minimum of two Annihilations, Christian Sain and Sick are the only people to be undefeated at Annihilation. Christian Sain is 4-0 and Sick is 2-0.

Managers play a big role in any special event, at Annihilation, Dirty Dealer is the only manager to be undefeated with a record of 3-0, guiding Team Dirty Dealer to victory in 2002, Big Top Playaz in 2005, and Payback in 2006. Bianca Wild and Ivanna come in second tied. Bianca Wild with a record of 1-1, being the manager for a Team Sain victory in 2007 and managing Captain Vincent Zarrello in a losing effort in 2005. Ivanna has a record of 2-2 leading The Circus to victory in 2003 and F-O to victory in 2004 and being on the losing end in 2005 as the manager of Total Kaos and 2006 as the manager of Team F-O. Moody Starr is the only manager to be winless with a record of 0-1, losing her only managerial appearance in 2002 as the manager of Team Miss Moody Starr.

The first submission victory in Annihilation history came in 2002 when Iceman defeated Smoke with an Asian Death Lock.

2004 is the only year that the Annihilation Match was not contested until traditional Annihilation standards. The traditional way is teams of members battling in an elimination match with full WAW team match rules intact. 2004 featured a no disqualifications, pinfalls count anywhere, tornado style elimination match (Battlefield Match) where The War Machines defeated The Amazing League.

2003 is the only year that the team captain did not score the winning pinfall for their team. Sin scored the winning falls in 2002 and 2004, Christian Sain scored the final fall for his team in 2005 and 2007, Joey Staplez scored the final fall for his team in 2006, and Rocko took the winning pin in 2008.

Sin is the only person to be responsibile for every elimination of the opposing team. In 2002, Sin eliminated all 3 members of Team Miss Moody Starr.

From 2002 to 2005, the original team drafted in the Annihilation Draft, were altered in some way between the draft and Annihilation. Below are all of the alterations. 2006, 2007, and 2008 featured teams remaining intact from the draft until Annihilation.

Twice in Annihilation history have winning teams had more than one member of the team remaining when the match was over. In 2004, Sin and Gino Diomedes were both remaining for the victorious team of The War Machines. In 2007, Christian Sain and Todd Sople were both remaining for the remaining team of Team Sain. 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2008 came down to one member remaining for the winning team.
